Men's Ministry
United Methodist Men (UMM)
3rd Thursday, 7:15pm, Fellowship Hall
The men at Bethel don't often shout about the things they do. Suddenly a door might be fixed. Or a leaky sink. Or the playground equipment restored. Or a set built for a live nativity scene.
It might be a tree cut down in someone's yard. Some repairs done on a person's home. A car fixed. A hand up to someone who needs it.
A youth might suddenly get to go on a retreat because of a scholarship. Someone might get to go on the mission trip who could not have gone. Supplies for Vacation Bible School might magically appear. Food for one of our outreaches might be cooked.
The United Methodist Men at Bethel are behind all sorts of things that suddenly "happen" around our church. Often it's the things that no one else thinks to take care of, or doesn't know how to take care of, or maybe things that others aren't even aware need to be taken care of.
The men always seem to know about all these things. And they do something. And while they do their work, they have a great time! Laughter keeps them going along with the faith that God is in their decisions and projects. And when God is behind you pushing and in front of you leading, how can you possibly get lost or give up!
The United Methodist Men's Ministry meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:15pm. They share a meal with the JOY Circle and then both groups split off and have their own meetings and programs. All men in the church are invited to come and join in.
Every man is invited to come and spend time with other men at Bethel. Doesn't matter your age. There is something for you to participate in.
